Headingley retrofit update: extension built, roof on and screed poured

Freshly poured screed floor in the new extension of a Headingley home, Leeds

Spring 2026 was all about the extension at our whole-house retrofit in Headingley, Leeds. With the upper floors largely complete, the team turned their attention to the ground floor.

April: steel and blockwork

All of the steelwork went in, the blockwork was nearly complete and the build was almost ready for the roof structure. Once finished, the extension will completely open up the ground floor layout.

May: rear and side extension built

By May the new rear and side extension was built and the roof was being fitted. Inside, the extension floor was being prepared for its concrete pour, a big step towards finishing the build.

June: screed poured

At the start of June the ground floor screed was poured, a key milestone that sets things up for second fix downstairs. The side extension was also complete externally, with the brickwork finished and the roof in place, complete with Velux rooflights.

From building site to home

The next few weeks are where the internal spaces begin to feel like a home rather than a building site. If you are thinking about a house extension in Leeds or a full renovation and retrofit, we would be happy to talk it through.
