Late summer 2026 was a big moment at Oak Road, our second full-house renovation and retrofit in North Leeds, as the scaffolding came down and the outside of the house was revealed.
Stonework and windows
All of the existing stonework has been carefully repointed, giving both the front and rear elevations a real lift. The stone was cleaned and the original details restored as part of a careful refurbishment.
The new Passivhaus-standard conservation sash windows are now installed throughout. They keep the traditional look the conservation area calls for, with the performance of a modern high-efficiency window. New swift boxes have also been built into the elevation.
The rear of the property almost looks new again, without losing the character that made the building special in the first place.

Inside the house
Plastering is almost complete throughout. On the upper floors, new floor insulation and an underfloor heating system have been installed. The finer details are coming together too, including new built-in storage on the first floor with inset arched shelving.
It is reaching the stage where the house feels less like a construction project and more like the home it is going to become.
